Halloween is right around the corner..........................

Hi Everyone,

Have you made any plans for your own Trick or Treaters?   I decided to share three adorable projects that you can share with your family and friends.  The first is taken from Splitcoast Stampers and is the cutest little skull.  Closed it hides a box in it's center that contains treats.  Scarey but not too scarey.

'
The second project is a Halloween staple - a coffin!!   The sign says, Open if you Dare and when you do, you will meet a little mummy.  This is actually a Hershey bar wrapped in paper.  You might say, it's a yummy mummy.

Our last selection is a Halloween card that you can send to the "older" children in your family.  This card lays flat to mail but opens for a Halloween display.  This type of card is called an easel card.  Take a look........

Now don't wait!!!  Call me anytime to arrange a class where you can learn to make these cute projects.  Classes can be arranged to suit your free time.  Now that I am retired - I have lots of it.  Can't wait to hear from you all.

Been away too long.

I am sorry I haven't updated my site in a while but am sure you will understand when I tell you that my Dad died and we made a trip back to Massachusetts to see family and friends. My dad was a POW and the Veterans had a nice ceremony at graveside.  It was a sad occasion but joyful to reconnect with friends and family.  We haven't seen some of them in 10 years.  This is a picture of me and my sisters Kelly, Merri and Terri.

We stayed with dear friends who own a lovely home which we call the Bilt-Hurd-More Estate.  They were so nice to us and we were so very grateful that they are friends.  They took us out to Plymouth and we had Haddock which I have been missing.  A quick trip (or 2) to my favorite ice cream shop was fabulous also.

Classes will resume in June.  For those of you who cannot come on the weekend (Saturday the 18th), we are also having a class on Friday the 17th.  Don't forget to bring your adhesive. Photos needed are 2-4x6 verticals and 2- 6x4 horizontals. Class, both days, will start at 11am and end at 4pm.  Lunch will be provided.  I am anxious to get back in the classroom.  Please let me know if you will be attending and on which day.

Thank you, Thank you to all yall

It is always great to get together for scrappin and eatin.  We had some new faces and the return of some old friends this month.  I am fortunate to have talented people in my classes, it makes me look good.  Each and every person left with my layout but personalized to their taste and photos.  I am touched by how much each of you has grown.  I was saying today that the classes would end at four pm when we started but
now, even with your own changes in the layouts, we are through around 2:30.  That is our friend Grace Elliott holding her head and asking, "How can I get all these great ideas on paper?"  She is a joy to have in class, always a smile and a chuckle.  And don't forget Ms. Izzy who supervised and kept us in line.

Laura cooked lunch as always and did a great job.  I do need to give credit to my DH as he made Peanut Butter Cookies.  At end of day there were only two left.  Way to go BOB!!

There is a great shot of Laura and my grandchildren who were here during my classes.  I hate to brag but they were so well behaved and I was proud of them.  Mona had a great time visiting with the kids when she finished her layout.

Welcome to Pat Newton who did such a great job that I may have to let her teach classes next time.  Our friend Carolyn Overbey has hurt her back and she couldn't make the class.  We all wish her a speedy recovery and want to see her at future classes.

My layout was titled "Spring" and I included some pictures from last year, but take a look at my Clematis on my porch today!  I should have waited and included this on my layout.  Oh well, Lots of pages and so little spring.   See you all when I return from my little trip.  Take care and don't do any great pages without me.

Saturday the 23rd 11am - 4pm

For those of you who will be scrapbooking, this is the layout we are working from Saturday.  The little bats will be replaced by embellishments of your choice.  I plan on blue/green for colors.   Please remember to bring adhesive.  Lunch will be BLTs and monster cookies.  As always, I won't be cooking.  I know you are all relieved to know that.
I am excited to tell you that we have some new class members joining us that day.  Pat and Carolyn will be working on greeting cards till they build up their confidence.  I know you will make them feel at home.  We have one more lady named Catherine who is a gardener friend.  At this time I am not sure if she will be able to make the 23rd.  New layouts and new friends - who could ask for more?   As always, if you haven't already done so, let me know if you will be attending.  Hugs till then.

Sorry I missed my post yesterday.  Bob was having a stress test etc.  For anyone who has waited at a doctor's office, I know you understand.  Take a look at this great bookmark card. One of six designs. This double pocket card is made from one piece of paper.  Folding is the key.  Not only is it a pretty little card but the bookmarks will be used over and over by your loved one, reminding them of you all year round. This card also opens  you can leave a birthday message too.   Come learn how tomorrow at our card class/pot luck supper.  So far we have baked macaroni, 3 bean salad, sub sandwiches, peanut butter pie and a salad.

I thought you might also like to see our 3 dimentional project.  Fill with jelly beans and delight the children in your family.  Come and enjoy.

Ewe are so Special

Good morning everyone,

I love Monday's now that I don't have to go to work!!  I hope that you have been able to get outside and enjoy this fabulous weather.  Now that I am retired it is a challenge to keep active.  I could spend all my time making cards and scrapbooking.  Gotta spend more time in the yard and walking.  Saturday's lunch was out of this world.  Sorry for those of you who missed it but the rest of us enjoyed the crafts and the CHOCOLATE.  Can you tell that I live to eat.  I love the taste, the texture, the smell of food.  I'm in my glory when someone puts a brownie sundae in front of me.

Today's card is another spring inspired design.  The adorable lamb is adapted from a design created by Kim Score.  Be sure to check out her website for details on how you can get instructions on how to make this lamb and several other spring designs.  You can find her at paperpunchaddiction.com

Enjoy - I had so much fun making this one.

St. Patrick's Day Card Making Class

Item 315
Good morning fellow paper lovers, here is a preview of the March 12th, card making class.  We will be making 5 cards and one three dementional item.  Class starts at 2pm and I have room for you!  Come and see what you can create.

Let's get going

If I wait till I understand all the things I would like to add to this newsletter, I may never get going.  So bear with me.......................

I want to share an idea for a gift.  I made a single page, mounted it, framed it and I am sure you will agree - this makes a great present.  I purchased a 12x12 artist canvas at Michaels store, added a ribbon frame around the outside and Wow.  This one is about my grandmother who loved kitties and sewing and is for a cousin who also loved her.
